This creative catalog photography shoot was from a few year’s back at my last studio. The client sold Arts and Crafts / DIY projects. You bought the handbag and they gave things to decorate and personalize it with. How do you show that creatively? Art director Shea Baker came up with a idea – different women, different personalities, different dresses, different handbags; and since it was spring – add some fresh green grass to tie it all together. Put down sheets of plastic, then the grass. The women were photographed separately, and the final shot was stitched together in Photoshop. Catalog photography is a challenge – showcasing the product in a way that makes the viewer stop, look, and hopefully buy. The models were great and had a great time, and the client was happy. They used this in a print catalog and in their online store. A great idea from Shea. Another fun and creative catalog photography […] Read More

Cover photo for Sandwich Glass Museum 2013 Newsletter. Great working with dear friend designer Di Hoxie. A great Museum. Their website is, sandwichglassmuseum.org. If you are on Cape Cod check them out. At this shoot I had to photograph very old portraits. Some Oil pantings and some vey cool Daguerreotypes. These are tricky to shoot. Almost like shooting into a mirror. Had to cover the camera with black paper to stop reflections. Just when you think you know it all, a new challenge arrives. Never boring. Read More
